FAQ

Battery updates and notifications

How often does Juice Watch update battery levels?

Battery readings are periodic, not real-time. iOS and watchOS decide when background work runs, so Juice Watch typically receives updates every 5 to 60 minutes. Opening the apps can create another opportunity to exchange the latest available information.

Why are battery levels shown in 5 percent increments?

Starting with iOS 17 and watchOS 10, Apple makes battery information available to third-party apps in values rounded to the nearest 5 percent. Juice Watch displays the value provided by the system.

Does Juice Watch need an Apple Watch complication?

For expected background updates, keep the Juice Watch companion app installed and add a Juice Watch complication to your active watch face. The complication also keeps the latest iPhone battery level visible at a glance.

What should I check if a battery level is not updating?

Confirm that both Juice Watch apps are installed, a Juice Watch complication is on the active watch face, Background App Refresh is enabled, and Low Power Mode is off. Then open Juice Watch on both devices and allow time for the next system-scheduled update.

Can I choose when charging notifications arrive?

Yes. You can choose a charging threshold from 50 to 100 percent for each supported device. Juice Watch evaluates available battery updates and sends a notification after the reading crosses your selected level while charging.

Can I check Apple Watch battery on iPhone?

Yes. Open Juice Watch on iPhone to see the last Apple Watch battery level received from the companion app and the time it was received. The value is periodic rather than real-time.

Why did a notification arrive later than the exact threshold?

Juice Watch checks the readings that iOS and watchOS make available in the background. If the system delivers the next update after the battery has moved beyond your selected threshold, the notification reflects that later reading.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Juice Watch on iPhone, open the purchase screen, and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
